[A Psalm of David.] The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.


While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brothers stood outside, desiring to speak with him.


But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized by you, and come you to me?


And she spoke out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.


For, lo, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.


For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.


Therefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto you: but say a word, and my servant shall be healed.


You call me Teacher and Lord: and you say rightly; for so I am.


And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.


Let nothing be done through strife or vain glory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than themselves.


Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but rubbish, that I may win Christ,


Then she fell on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said unto him, Why have I found grace in your eyes, that you should take knowledge of me, seeing I am a stranger?


And she arose, and bowed herself on her face to the earth, and said, Behold, let your handmaid be a servant to wash the feet of the servants of my lord.
