I made a covenant with my eyes; why then should I think upon a maiden?


Turn away my eyes from beholding vanity; and revive me in your way.


You shall not covet your neighbor's house, you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor any thing that is your neighbor's.


So are the ways of everyone that is greedy of gain; which takes away the life of its owners.

Woe unto them that go the depths to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who sees us? and who knows us?


Woe to him that covets an evil gain for his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the power of ruin!


And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consists not in the abundance of the things which he possesses.


For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.


But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becomes saints;


For this you know, that no fornicator, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.


The graven images of their gods shall you burn with fire: you shall not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto you, lest you be snared by it: for it is an abomination to the LORD your God.


Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry:


Let your conduct be without covetousness; and be content with such things as you have: for he has said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you.


Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death.


And Achan answered Joshua, and said, Indeed I have sinned against the LORD God of Israel, and this is what I have done:


So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran unto the tent; and, behold, it was hid in his tent, and the silver under it.


Who have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
