And Solomon built Gezer, and lower Beth-horon,


So the LORD defeated the Ethiopians before Asa, and before Judah; and the Ethiopians fled.


But the soldiers of the army which Amaziah sent back, that they should not go with him to battle, fell upon the cities of Judah, from Samaria even unto Beth-horon, and killed three thousand of them, and took much spoil.


Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and vanquished them.


For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but your right hand, and your arm, and the light of your countenance, because you had favor unto them.


When the Almighty scattered kings in it, it was white as snow in Zalmon.


He cast out the nations also before them, and divided them an inheritance by line, and made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their tents.


For the LORD shall rise up as on mount Perazim, he shall be angry as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his awesome work; and bring to pass his act, his alien act.


And the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall show the descending of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones.


When the king of Babylon’s army fought against Jerusalem, and against all the cities of Judah that were left, against Lachish, and against Azekah: for these fortified cities remained of the cities of Judah.


Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.


But the LORD your God shall deliver them unto you, and shall destroy them with a mighty destruction, until they are destroyed.


And it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, and were on the decent to Bethhoron, that the LORD cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died: they were more who died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword.


And that day Joshua took Makkedah, and struck it with the edge of the sword, and its king he utterly destroyed, the people, and all the souls that were therein; he let none remain: and he did to the king of Makkedah as he did unto the king of Jericho.


Joshua therefore came unto them suddenly, and went up from Gilgal all night.


And the LORD delivered them into the hand of Israel, who struck them, and chased them unto great Sidon, and unto Misrephothmaim, and unto the valley of Mizpah eastward; and they struck them, until they left none remaining.


The king of Makkedah, one; the king of Bethel, one;


Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah,


And Gederoth, Bethdagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah; sixteen cities with their villages:


Then goes down westward to the border of the Japhletites, unto the border of lower Bethhoron, to Gezer: and it ends at the sea.


And the border of the children of Ephraim according to their families was thus: even the border of their inheritance on the east side was Atarothaddar, unto upper Bethhoron;


And Kibzaim with its pasture lands, and Bethhoron with its pasture lands; four cities.


And the LORD routed Sisera, and all his chariots, and all his army, with the edge of the sword before Barak; so that Sisera got down from his chariot, and fled away on foot.


But Barak pursued after the chariots, and after the army, unto Harosheth of the nations: and all the host of Sisera fell by the edge of the sword; and there was not a man left.


They fought from heaven; the stars in their courses fought against Sisera.


And another company turned the way to Bethhoron: and another company turned to the way of the border that looks upon the valley of Zeboim toward the wilderness.


Now the Philistines gathered together their armies to battle, and were gathered together at Socoh, which belongs to Judah, and encamped between Socoh and Azekah, in Ephesdammin.
