And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who are you?


And John bore record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.


And I saw, and bore record that this is the Son of God.


The Jews then who were with her in the house, and comforted her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up hastily and went out, followed her, saying, She goes unto the grave to weep there.


And I knew that you hear me always: but because of the people who stand by I said it, that they may believe that you have sent me.


Many people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.


And he that saw it bares record, and his record is true: and he knows that he says the truth, that you might believe.


This is the disciple who testifies of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.


Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.


And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to them that obey him.


Who bore witness of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.
