Our fathers understood not your wonders in Egypt; they remembered not the multitude of your mercies; but rebelled against him at the sea, even at the Red sea.


They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.


Evil men understand not justice: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.


Yea, they are greedy dogs who can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, everyone for his gain, from his own quarter.


Many shall be purified, and made white, and refined; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.


All these things spoke Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spoke he not unto them:


Jesus said unto them, Have you understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.


But without a parable he spoke not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.


These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time comes, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall show you plainly of the Father.


His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speak you plainly, and speak no proverb.


The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?


Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is a hard saying; who can hear it?


What manner of saying is this that he said, You shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, there you cannot come?


They understood not that he spoke to them of the Father.


Why do you not understand my speech? even because you cannot hear my word.


But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.


But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog has turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.


And we know that the Son of God is come, and has given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
