I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name.


Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;


Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee;


But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.


And as Jesus passed forth from there, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he said unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.


For the Son of man came to seek and to save that which was lost.


These things were done in Bethany beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.


The next day John saw Jesus coming unto him, and said, Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.


Again the next day John stood, and two of his disciples;


And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.


Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.


The same came therefore to Philip, who was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired of him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.


Philip said unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it will satisfy us.


This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.


When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he said unto Philip, Where shall we buy bread, that these may eat?


Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.


Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if indeed I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.


We love him, because he first loved us.
