Job 9:3

I will say unto God, Do not condemn me; show me why you contend with me.


Who is he that will contend with me? for now, if I hold my tongue, I shall die.


Why do you strive against him? for he gives not account of any of his matters.


For he will not lay upon man more than what is right; that he should enter into judgment with God.


Shall he that contends with the Almighty instruct him? he that reproves God, let him answer it.


Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will proceed no further.


How much less shall I answer him, and choose out my words to reason with him?


If I justify myself, my own mouth shall condemn me: if I say, I am blameless, it shall also prove me perverse.


Who can understand his errors? cleanse me from secret faults.


For innumerable evils have surrounded me: my iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of my head: therefore my heart fails me.


Nay but, O man, who are you that replies against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why have you made me thus?


If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.


For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.
