I will be surety for him; of my hand shall you require him: if I bring him not unto you, and set him before you, then let me bear the blame forever:


For your servant became surety for the lad unto my father, saying, If I bring him not unto you, then I shall bear the blame to my father forever.


Call now, if there be any that will answer you; and to which of the holy ones will you turn?


Neither is there any mediator between us, that might lay his hand upon us both.


Be surety for your servant for good: let not the proud oppress me.


He that is surety for a stranger shall suffer for it: and he that hates being surety is secure.


A man void of understanding gives pledge, and becomes surety in the presence of his neighbor.


Take his garment who is surety for a stranger: and hold it as a pledge of him for an immoral woman.


Be not one of them that gives pledges, or of them that become surety for debts.


So shall your poverty come upon you like a vagabond, and your want like an armed man.


Like a crane or a swallow, so did I chatter: I did mourn as a dove: my eyes fail with looking upward: O LORD, I am oppressed; undertake for me.


By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better covenant.
