And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD turned from the destruction, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now your hand. And the angel of the LORD was by the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.


When the LORD shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory.


And he remembered for them his covenant, and relented according to the multitude of his mercies.


Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shall you dwell in the land, and verily you shall be fed.


For God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah: that they may dwell there, and have it in possession.


And the LORD turned from the evil which he thought to do unto his people.


For I will set my eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them again to this land: and I will build them, and not pull them down; and I will plant them, and not pluck them up.


Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him at all to death? did he not fear the LORD, and besought the LORD, and the LORD relented himself of the evil which he had pronounced against them? Thus might we procure great evil against our souls.


But the nations that bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, those will I let remain still in their own land, says the LORD; and they shall till it, and dwell in it.


And it shall come to pass, that as I have watched over them, to pluck up, and to break down, and to throw down, and to destroy, and to afflict; so will I watch over them, to build, and to plant, says the LORD.


And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.


So Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, and all the people, obeyed not the voice of the LORD, to dwell in the land of Judah.

After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:


For the LORD shall judge his people, and have compassion on his servants, when he sees that their power is gone, and there is none left, slave or free.


And when the LORD raised them up judges, then the LORD was with the judge, and delivered them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge: for the LORD had compassion because of their groanings because of them that oppressed them and vexed them.
