But unto the wicked God says, What have you to do to declare my statutes, or that you should take my covenant in your mouth?


That your beloved may be delivered; save with your right hand, and hear me.


It is as sport to a fool to do wrong: but a man of understanding has wisdom.


The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.


Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the perverseness of the wicked;


The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much more, when he brings it with a wicked mind?


As a madman who throws firebrands, arrows, and death,


He that turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.


Thus says the LORD, Where is the bill of your mother's divorcement, whom I have put away? or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities have you sold yourselves, and for your transgressions is your mother put away.


I have forsaken my house, I have left my heritage; I have given the dearly beloved of my soul into the hand of her enemies.


I have seen your adulteries, and your neighings, the lewdness of your harlotry, and your abominations on the hills in the fields. Woe unto you, O Jerusalem! will you not be made clean? when shall it be?


Then said the LORD unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not turn toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.


Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus says the LORD; I remember you, the kindness of your youth, the love of your betrothal, when you followed me in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown.


For both prophet and priest are profane; yea, in my house have I found their wickedness, says the LORD.


Turn, O backsliding children, says the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one from a city, and two from a family, and I will bring you to Zion:


And I saw, when for all the causes for which backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.


Then said the LORD unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of her lover, and an adulteress, according to the love of the LORD toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love cakes of raisins.


And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man who had not on a wedding garment:


When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with you, Jesus, you Son of God most high? I beseech you, torment me not.


As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but concerning the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.


Rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;


Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled.


But now you rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.
