And enter not into judgment with your servant: for in your sight shall no man living be justified.


Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bore you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.


For by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned.


And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham as our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.


The oath which he swore to our father Abraham,


And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.


And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.


They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus said unto them, If you were Abraham's children, you would do the works of Abraham.


Are you greater than our father Abraham, who is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom make you yourself?


And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; The God of glory appeared unto our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Haran,


Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.


What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, has found?


And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised.


Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the descendants; not to those only who are of the law, but to those also who are of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,


By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son.


Yea, a man may say, You have faith, and I have works: show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.


You see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.


And I took your father Abraham from the other side of the river, and led him throughout all the land of Canaan, and multiplied his descendants, and gave him Isaac.
