For the LORD has chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure.


For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.


And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, who shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the coastlands of the sea.


For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cling to the house of Jacob.


Who raised up the righteous man from the east, called him to his feet, gave the nations before him, and made him rule over kings? he gave them as the dust to his sword, and as driven stubble to his bow.


But you, Israel, are my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the descendant of Abraham my friend.


Behold my servant, whom I uphold; my elect, in whom my soul delights; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth justice to the Gentiles.


Yet now hear, O Jacob my servant; and Israel, whom I have chosen:


For Jacob my servant's sake, and Israel my elect, I have even called you by your name: I have named you, though you have not known me.


I have loved you, says the LORD. Yet you say, How have you loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? says the LORD: yet I loved Jacob,


And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.


For you are a holy people unto the LORD your God, and the LORD has chosen you to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.


Hearken, my beloved brethren, Has not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he has promised to them that love him?


And they sang a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open the seals thereof: for you were slain, and have redeemed us to God by your blood out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation;


For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name's sake: because it has pleased the LORD to make you his people.
