Gird up now your loins like a man; for I will demand of you, and you answer me.


Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.


Come now, and let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.


And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, who shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the coastlands of the sea.


Come near, you nations, to hear; and hearken, you people: let the earth hear, and all that is in it; the world, and all things that come forth of it.


But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.


The coastlands saw it, and feared; the ends of the earth were afraid, drew near, and came.


Put me in remembrance: let us contend together: state your case, that you may be proved right.


Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and show us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth.


Come near unto me, hear this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord GOD, and his Spirit, has sent me.


Listen, O coastlands, unto me; and hearken, you people, from afar; The LORD has called me from the womb; from the body of my mother has he made mention of my name.


He is near that justifies me; who will contend with me? let us stand together: who is my adversary? let him come near to me.


But the LORD is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.


Be silent, all flesh, before the LORD: for he has raised up out of his holy habitation.
