If I covered my transgressions as Adam, by hiding my iniquity in my bosom:


Will you set your eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.


He that covers his sins shall not prosper: but whosoever confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy.


Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from where came they unto you? And Hezekiah said, They have come from a far country unto me, even from Babylon.


Then said Isaiah to Hezekiah, Hear the word of the LORD of hosts:


O my mountain in the field, I will give your wealth and all your treasures as plunder, and your high places for sin, throughout all your borders.


And Joshua said unto Achan, My son, give, I pray you, glory to the LORD God of Israel, and make confession unto him; and tell me now what you have done; hide it not from me.


If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
