Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practice wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their delicacies.


The foolishness of man perverts his way: and his heart frets against the LORD.


Wisdom is too lofty for a fool: he opens not his mouth in the gate.


To turn aside the needy from justice, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless!


I will send him against a godless nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.


Let favor be showed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the LORD.


What do you mean that you beat my people to pieces, and grind the faces of the poor? says the Lord GOD of hosts.


Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity.


In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.


Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.


Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for everyone is a hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaks folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.


Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may you also do good, that are accustomed to doing evil.


Seems it a small thing unto you to have eaten up the good pasture, but must you tread down with your feet the rest of your pastures? and to have drunk of the deep waters, but must you foul the rest with your feet?


Many shall be purified, and made white, and refined; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.


That we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes; yea, and sell the refuse of the wheat?


For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:


But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for you neither go in yourselves, neither allow you them that are entering to go in.


Pure religion and undefiled before God the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.


As says the proverb of the ancients, Wickedness proceeds from the wicked: but my hand shall not be upon you.
