And I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab: and I will wipe Jerusalem as a man wipes a dish, wiping it, and turning it upside down.


Remember, I beseech you, the word that you commanded your servant Moses, saying, If you transgress, I will scatter you abroad among the nations:


The LORD preserves the strangers; he relieves the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turns upside down.


Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.


They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.


And they shall go into the caves of the rocks, and into the holes of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he arises to shake mightily the earth.


The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is torn asunder, the earth is shaken exceedingly.


The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a hut; and its transgression shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.


Yet the fortified city shall be desolate, and the habitation forsaken, and left like a wilderness: there shall the calf feed, and there shall he lie down, and strip its branches.


Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter's clay: for shall the thing made say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing formed say of him that formed it, He had no understanding?


Yet I will distress Ariel, and there shall be heaviness and sorrow: and it shall be unto me as Ariel.


And in every place where the staff of punishment shall pass, which the LORD shall lay upon him, it shall be with timbrels and harps: and in battles of brandishing will he fight with it.


Beat upon your breasts for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine.


The earth mourns and languishes: Lebanon is ashamed and hewn down: Sharon is like a wilderness; and Bashan and Carmel shake off their fruits.

So will I stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land desolate, yea, more desolate than the wilderness toward Diblah, in all their habitations: and they shall know that I am the LORD.


In all your dwelling places the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate; that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken and destroyed, and your images may be cut down, and your works may be abolished.


The time has come, the day draws near: let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn: for wrath is upon all their multitude.


They have blown the trumpet, even to make all ready; but none goes to the battle: for my wrath is upon all their multitude.


The mountains quake before him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell in it.

I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:


And the LORD shall scatter you among the nations, and you shall be left few in number among the nations, where the LORD shall lead you.
