The trespass offering money and sin offering money was not brought into the house of the LORD: it was the priests’.


He that has clean hands, and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.


[A Psalm of David.] Unto you, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.


Yea, they are greedy dogs who can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, everyone for his gain, from his own quarter.


Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their hearts, and put the stumblingblock of their iniquity before their faces: should I be inquired of at all by them?


For every one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojourns in Israel, who separates himself from me, and sets up his idols in his heart, and puts the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and comes to a prophet to inquire of him concerning me; I the LORD will answer him by myself:


You have plowed wickedness, you have reaped iniquity; you have eaten the fruit of lies: because you did trust in your way, in the multitude of your mighty men.


And Ephraim said, Yet I have become rich, I have found myself wealth: in all my labors they shall find no iniquity in me that is sin.


O Israel, return unto the LORD your God; for you have fallen because of your iniquity.


And the priest of his sons that are anointed in his stead shall offer it: it is a statute forever unto the LORD; it shall be wholly burnt.


The priest that offers it for sin shall eat it: in the holy place shall it be eaten, in the court of the tabernacle of meeting.


Her heads judge for reward, and her priests teach for hire, and her prophets divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us? no evil can come upon us.


Who is there even among you that would shut the doors for nothing? neither do you kindle fire on my altar for nothing. I have no pleasure in you, says the LORD of hosts, neither will I accept an offering at your hand.


For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the innocent.


Whose mouths must be stopped, who ruin whole households, teaching things which they ought not, for dishonest gain.


And through covetousness shall they with false words exploit you: whose judgment of old now lingers not, and their destruction slumbers not.


Why trample you on my sacrifice and on my offering, which I have commanded in my habitation; and honor your sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chief of all the offerings of Israel my people?
