And the seven thin and ill favored cows that came up after them are seven years; and the seven empty ears dried by the east wind shall be seven years of famine.


For these two years has the famine been in the land: and there are yet five years, in the which there shall neither be plowing nor harvest.


Only the land of the priests bought he not; for the priests had a portion assigned them of Pharaoh, and did eat their portion which Pharaoh gave them: therefore they sold not their lands.


And it shall come to pass in the harvest, that you shall give the fifth part unto Pharaoh, and four parts shall be your own, for seed of the field, and for your food, and for them of your households, and for food for your little ones.


A good man shows favor, and lends: he will guide his affairs with discretion.


[To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.] Blessed is he that considers the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.


He that withholds grain, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that sells it.


He that tills his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that follows vain persons is void of understanding.


Much food is in the fallow ground of the poor: but there is that is destroyed for lack of justice.


In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening withhold not your hand: for you know not which shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both alike shall be good.


For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and returns not there, but waters the earth, and makes it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:


Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord has made ruler over his household, to give them food at the proper time?


Now he that ministers seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
