And Abraham reproved Abimelech because of a well of water, which Abimelech's servants had violently taken away.


And he said, For these seven ewe lambs shall you take of my hand, that they may be a witness unto me, that I have dug this well.


Therefore he called that place Beersheba; because there they swore both of them.


And Isaac departed from there, and pitched his tent in the valley of Gerar, and dwelt there.


And Isaac's servants dug in the valley, and found there a well of springing water.


Also he built towers in the desert, and dug many wells: for he had many cattle, both in the low country, and in the plains: farmers also, and vine dressers in the mountains, and in Carmel: for he loved the soil.


Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names upon my lips.


For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name.


And it shall come to pass in that day, says the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.


And Nebo, and Baalmeon, (their names being changed,) and Sibmah: and gave other names unto the cities which they built.
