And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing:


Suppose there be fifty righteous within the city: will you also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are there?


Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape there, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.


Haste you, escape there for I cannot do anything till you are come there. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.


If you do well, shall you not be accepted? and if you do not well, sin lies at the door. And you shall be its desire, and you must rule over it.


He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.


He will fulfill the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.


The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.


And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that you have spoken: for you have found grace in my sight, and I know you by name.


Thus says the LORD unto this people, Thus have they loved to wander, they have not restrained their feet, therefore the LORD does not accept them; he will now remember their iniquity, and punish their sins.


A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he sends forth justice unto victory.


I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give to him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needs.


Therefore in all things he had to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.


So David received of her hand that which she had brought him, and said unto her, Go up in peace to your house; see, I have hearkened to your voice, and have accepted your person.
