And God said, Let the earth bring forth vegetation, the plants yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after its kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.


And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.


And God said, Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kinds, cattle, and creeping things, and beasts of the earth after their kinds: and it was so


And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.


And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.


He binds up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not torn under them.


He sends the springs into the valleys, which run among the hills.


To him that by wisdom made the heavens: for his mercy endures forever.


Praise him, you heavens of heavens, and you waters that be above the heavens.


[To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.] The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows his handiwork.


Day unto day utters speech, and night unto night shows knowledge.


If the clouds are full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree falls toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falls, there it shall be.


But the men marveled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!
