And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand.


And he said unto Moses, I your father-in-law Jethro am come unto you, and your wife, and her two sons with her.


And she bore him a son, and he called his name Gershom: for he said, I have been a stranger in a strange land.


And you shall take this rod in your hand, with which you shall do signs.


And the LORD said unto him, What is that in your hand? And he said, A rod.


And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he struck the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their animals also.


Then fled Moses at this saying, and was an exile in the land of Midian, where he begat two sons.
