Or who will be able to tell him what will be in the future after him under the sun?

Ecclesiastes 7:1

There the wicked cease from troubling; and there the weary are at rest.


It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;


The light of the eyes rejoices the heart: and a good report makes the bones healthy.


A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favor rather than silver and gold.


Lest he that hears it put you to shame, and the evil report turns not away.


Ointment and perfume rejoice the heart: so does the sweetness of a man's friend by hearty counsel.


Dead flies cause the ointment of the perfumer to send forth a foul odor: so does a little folly to him that is respected for wisdom and honor.


Therefore I praised the dead who are already dead more than the living who are yet alive.


Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.


Because of the fragrance of your good ointments your name is as ointment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love you.


How fair is your love, my sister, my spouse! how much better is your love than wine! and the fragrance of your perfume than all spices!


Even unto them will I give in my house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.


Therefore now, O LORD, take, I beseech you, my life from me; for it is better for me to die than to live.


Nevertheless in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.


And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;


For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.


We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.


For by it the elders obtained approval.


And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:


And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on: Yea, says the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them.


And she lay at his feet until the morning: and she rose up before one could recognize another. And he said, Let it not be known that a woman came into the floor.
