Why do I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in my hand?


The merciful man does good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubles his own flesh.


The slothful man roasts not that which he took in hunting: but the possessions of a diligent man are precious.


The soul of the sluggard desires, and has nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made rich.


The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; therefore shall he beg in harvest, and have nothing.


How long will you sleep, O sluggard? when will you arise out of your sleep?


The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious; but the lips of a fool will swallow him up.


And he shall snatch on the right hand, and be hungry; and he shall devour on the left hand, and they shall not be satisfied: they shall eat every man the flesh of his own arm:
