And it came to pass after many days, that the word of the LORD came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, show yourself unto Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth.


Have you entered into the treasury of the snow? or have you seen the treasury of the hail,


He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; he makes lightnings for the rain; he brings the wind out of his treasuries.


The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.


And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the showers to come down in their season; there shall be showers of blessing.


Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.


That I will give you the rain of your land in its due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, and your wine, and your oil.


And the Levite, (because he has no part nor inheritance with you,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, who are within your gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.


You shall surely give to him, and your heart shall not be grieved when you give unto him: because for this thing the LORD your God shall bless you in all your works, and in all that you put your hand unto.


For the LORD your God blesses you, as he promised you: and you shall lend unto many nations, but you shall not borrow; and you shall reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over you.


Unto a stranger you may lend for interest; but unto your brother you shall not lend for interest: that the LORD your God may bless you in all that you set your hand to in the land where you go to possess it.


The LORD shall make the rain of your land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon you, until you be destroyed.


He shall lend to you, and you shall not lend to him: he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail.
