And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away the spoil of them, they found among them in abundance both riches with the dead bodies, and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were three days in the gathering of the spoil, it was so much.


Kings of armies did flee in haste: and she that tarried at home divided the spoil.


And they took all the spoil, and all the prey, both of people and of animals.


And they brought the captives, and the prey, and the spoil, unto Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and unto the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the camp at the plains of Moab, which are by the Jordan near Jericho.


And Moses said unto them, Have you saved all the women alive?


But all the young girls, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.


And the children of Israel took all the women of Midian captives, and their little ones, and took the spoil of all their cattle, and all their flocks, and all their goods.


Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.


Only the cattle we took for a prey unto ourselves, and the spoil of the cities which we took.


Thus shall you do unto all the cities which are very far off from you, which are not of the cities of these nations.


And all the spoil of these cities, and the cattle, the children of Israel took for a prey unto themselves; but every man they struck with the edge of the sword, until they had destroyed them, neither left they any that breathed.


And he spoke unto them, saying, Return with much riches unto your tents, and with very much cattle, with silver, and with gold, and with bronze, and with iron, and with very much clothing: divide the spoil of your enemies with your brethren.


And you shall do to Ai and her king as you did unto Jericho and her king: only the spoil thereof, and the cattle thereof, shall you take for a prey unto yourselves: lay you an ambush for the city behind it.
