So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he hears the cry of the afflicted.


I will set no wicked thing before my eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.


For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, says the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that sneers at him.


When he avenges blood, he remembers them: he forgets not the cry of the humble.


You shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child.


If you afflict them in any way, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry;


And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;


He that despises his neighbor sins: but he that has mercy on the poor, happy is he.


Whosoever stops his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.


Eat not the bread of him that is stingy, neither desire you his delicacies:


The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scoffer is an abomination to men.


He that hastens to be rich has an evil eye, and considers not that poverty shall come upon him.


Keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.


I the LORD search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.


At the end of seven years let you go every man his brother, a Hebrew, who has been sold unto you; and when he has served you six years, you shall let him go free from you: but your fathers hearkened not unto me, neither inclined their ear.


For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:


Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with my own? Is your eye evil, because I am good?


At the end of every seven years you shall make a release.


Each day you shall give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down upon it; for he is poor, and sets his heart upon it: lest he cry against you unto the LORD, and it be sin unto you.


And Moses commanded them, saying, At the end of every seven years, in the solemnity of the year of release, in the feast of tabernacles,


Therefore to him that knows to do good, and does it not, to him it is sin.


Do you think that the scripture says in vain, The spirit that dwells in us lusts to envy?


Behold, the hire of the laborers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, cries: and the cries of them who have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of hosts.


Murmur not one against another, brethren, lest you be judged: behold, the judge stands before the door.


Practice hospitality one to another without grudging.
