And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven,


I will say unto God my rock, Why have you forgotten me? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?


For you are the God of my strength: why do you cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?


Rejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all you that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all you that mourn for her:


Oh that my head were waters, and my eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!


Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that you did set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come because of your words.


And Jesus said unto them, Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.


That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.


Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.


And if any man will hurt them, fire proceeds out of their mouth, and devours their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
