Said unto them, You have brought this man unto me, as one that perverts the people: and, behold, I, having examined him before you, have found no fault in this man concerning those things of which you accuse him:


And when it was told me that the Jews laid wait for the man, I sent immediately to you, and gave commandment to his accusers also to say before you what they had against him. Farewell.


I will hear you when your accusers are also come. And he commanded him to be kept in Herod's judgment hall.


But the chief captain Lysias came upon us, and with great violence took him away out of our hands,


And the Jews also assented, saying that these things were so.


Let them therefore, said he, who among you are able, go down with me, and accuse this man, if there be any wickedness in him.
