Surely the wrath of man shall praise you: the remainder of wrath shall you restrain.


Fear you not me? says the LORD: will you not tremble at my presence, who has placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though its waves toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?


And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take you no thought how or what thing you shall answer, or what you shall say:


And when he had brought them into his house, he sat food before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.


And the keeper of the prison told this saying to Paul, The magistrates have sent to let you go: now therefore depart, and go in peace.


And the officers told these words unto the magistrates: and they feared, when they heard that they were Romans.


So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing for which they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.


And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.
