And all the people took notice of it, and it pleased them: as whatsoever the king did pleased all the people.


Also the hand of God was upon Judah to give them one heart to do the commandment of the king and of the princes, by the word of the LORD.


And the thing pleased the king and all the congregation.


And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabbas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.


Now they who were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.


And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who, when they were come to Antioch, spoke unto the Greeks, preaching the Lord Jesus.


Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.


And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch.


And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greetings unto the brethren who are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia:


It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,


We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth.


And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phoenicia and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.


So when they were dismissed, they came to Antioch: and when they had gathered the multitude together, they delivered the epistle:


And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and strengthened them.


And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being commended by the brethren unto the grace of God.


And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and dragged them into the marketplace unto the rulers,


And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.


Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,


And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming there went into the synagogue of the Jews.


And then immediately the brethren sent away Paul to go as it were to the sea: but Silas and Timothy abode there still.


And some of them believed, and joined Paul and Silas; and of the devout Greeks a great multitude, and of the chief women not a few.


And when Silas and Timothy were come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in the word, and testified to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ.


Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:


For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silas and Timothy, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea.


Paul, and Silas, and Timothy, unto the church of the Thessalonians which is in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
