Let my heart be sound in your statutes; that I be not ashamed.


He lays up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a shield to them that walk uprightly.


Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.


And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;


But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of justice, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.


Then he answered and spoke unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, says the LORD of hosts.


Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.


And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!


And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry you in the city of Jerusalem, until you are endued with power from on high.


Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the demons were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.


Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.


But you shall receive power, after the Holy Spirit has come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.


How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.


But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.


Then Paul answered, What mean you to weep and to break my heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.


And I punished them often in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto foreign cities.


But he said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but speak forth the words of truth and good sense.


And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.


But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews who dwelt at Damascus, proving that this one is the very Christ.


And hope makes not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who is given unto us.


For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, by which we cry, Abba, Father.


And my speech and my preaching were not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:


But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,


Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.


And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.


Seeing you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto sincere love of the brethren, see that you love one another with a pure heart fervently:


There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear: because fear has to do with punishment. He that fears is not made perfect in love.
