Let it be unto him as the garment which covers him, and for a belt with which he is girded continually.


My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdues my people under me.


It is God that girds me with strength, and makes my way perfect.


For you have girded me with strength unto the battle: you have subdued under me those that rose up against me.


Through you will we push down our enemies: through your name will we tread them under that rise up against us.


I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God besides me: I girded you, though you have not known me:


The sons also of them that afflicted you shall come bending low unto you; and all they that despised you shall bow themselves down at the soles of your feet; and they shall call you, The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.


Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;


And they sang a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open the seals thereof: for you were slain, and have redeemed us to God by your blood out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation;


So David and his men went to Keilah, and fought with the Philistines, and brought away their cattle, and struck them with a great slaughter. So David saved the inhabitants of Keilah.
