If my step has turned out of the way, and my heart walked after my eyes, and if any spot has cleaved to my hands;


If my heart has been deceived by a woman, or if I have laid wait at my neighbor’s door;


Lest you should ponder the path of life, her ways are unstable, that you can not know them.


Lust not after her beauty in your heart; neither let her allure you with her eyelids.


Wash you, make yourself clean; put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes; cease to do evil;


For my sword shall be bathed in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Edom, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment.


There shall be no more there an infant of days, nor an old man that has not fulfilled his days: for the child shall die a hundred years old; but the sinner being a hundred years old shall be accursed.


Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may you also do good, that are accustomed to doing evil.


And say, Thus says the Lord GOD; Woe to the women that sew charms upon all wrists, and make veils for the heads, of every length, to hunt souls! Will you hunt the souls of my people, and will you save the souls alive that belong to you?


O generation of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.


Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you devour widows' houses, and for a pretense make long prayer: therefore you shall receive the greater condemnation.


Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, you cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:


But I say unto you, That whosoever looks on a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.


For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall show signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.


How can you believe, who receive honor one of another, and seek not the honor that comes from God only?


For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the innocent.


For there must be also heresies among you, that they who are approved may be made manifest among you.


Among whom also we all had our behavior in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.


That we from now on be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, by which they lie in wait to deceive;


Let no man deceive you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshiping of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,


A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.


For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that have just escaped from them who live in error.


And through covetousness shall they with false words exploit you: whose judgment of old now lingers not, and their destruction slumbers not.


As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable twist, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.


For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.


Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the rebellion of Korah.


And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, who deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
