8 And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where there was a wealthy woman; and she urged him to eat some food. And so it was, that as often as he passed by, he turned in there to eat some food.

And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.


Now Barzillai was a very aged man, even fourscore years old: and he had provided the king with supplies while he lay at Mahanaim; for he was a very great man.


So they sought for a fair young woman throughout all the territory of Israel, and found Abishag a Shunammite, and brought her to the king.


And when the child was grown, on a certain day, he went out to his father to the reapers.


His possessions also were seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred female donkeys, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east.


Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand justice.


With her enticing speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she seduced him.


And likewise he that had received two, he also gained another two.


For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb.


And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.


But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.


And when she was baptized, and her household, she besought us, saying, If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide there. And she prevailed upon us.


And their border went to Jezreel, and included Chesulloth, and Shunem,


And the old man said, Peace be with you; however let all your needs lie upon me; only lodge not in the street.


And the Philistines gathered themselves together, and came and encamped in Shunem: and Saul gathered all Israel together, and they encamped in Gilboa.
