25 He restored the border of Israel from the entering of Hamath unto the sea of the plain, according to the word of the LORD God of Israel, which he spoke by the hand of his servant Jonah, the son of Amittai, the prophet, who was from Gath-hepher.

All these were joined together in the Valley of Siddim, which is the salt sea.


And at that time Solomon held a feast, and all Israel with him, a great assembly, from the entrance of Hamath unto the river of Egypt, before the LORD our God, seven days and seven days, even fourteen days.


In those days the LORD began to cut off parts of Israel: and Hazael defeated them in all the territory of Israel;


And Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz took again out of the hand of Ben-hadad the son of Hazael the cities, which he had taken out of the hand of Jehoahaz his father by war. Three times did Joash beat him, and recovered the cities of Israel.


(And the LORD gave Israel a savior, so that they went out from under the hand of the Syrians: and the children of Israel dwelt in their tents, as before.


And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.


You shall fall by the sword; I will judge you at the border of Israel; and you shall know that I am the LORD.


But, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel, says the LORD the God of hosts; and they shall afflict you from the entrance of Hamath unto the river of Arabah.


Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,


So they went up, and searched the land from the wilderness of Zin unto Rehob, near the entrance of Hamath.


A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonah. And he left them, and departed.


The plain also, with the Jordan as the border thereof, from Chinnereth even unto the sea of the plain, even the Salt Sea, under the slopes of Pisgah on the east.


And from there passes on along on the east to Gathhepher, to Ethkazin, and goes on to Remmon and bends toward Neah;
