And David and all Israel played before God with all their might, and with singing, and with harps, and with lyres, and with tambourines, and with cymbals, and with trumpets.


And Shebaniah, and Jehoshaphat, and Nethanel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, did blow with the trumpets before the ark of God: and Obed-edom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.


And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that bore the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the leader of the music with the singers: David also had upon him an ephod of linen.


And to stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD, and likewise at evening;


Moreover four thousand were gatekeepers; and four thousand praised the LORD with the instruments which I made, said David, for praise.


And these are they that served with their sons. Of the sons of the Kohathites: Heman the singer, the son of Joel, the son of Samuel,


And his brother Asaph, who stood on his right hand, even Asaph the son of Berechiah, the son of Shimea,


And he set the Levites in the house of the LORD with cymbals, with lyres, and with harps, according to the commandment of David, and of Gad the king’s seer, and Nathan the prophet: for so was the commandment of the LORD by his prophets.


And the Levites stood with the instruments of David, and the priests with the trumpets.


And the priests stood at their posts: the Levites also with instruments of music of the LORD, which David the king had made to praise the LORD, because his mercy endures forever, whenever David offered praise by their ministry; and the priests sounded trumpets opposite them, and all Israel stood.


Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.


[A Psalm of Asaph.] The mighty God, even the LORD, has spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.


[To the Chief Musician, to jeduthun. A Psalm of David.] Truly my soul waits upon God: from him comes my salvation.


The singers went before, the players on instruments followed after; among them were the damsels playing with timbrels.


[A Song or Psalm for the Sons of Karah. To the Chief Musician upon mahanath leannoth. A maschil of Heman the Ezrahite.] O LORD God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before you:


Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a melodious sound.


And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden sashes.


And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteous acts of saints.
