Behold, we are servants this day, and for the land that you gave unto our fathers to eat the fruit thereof and the good thereof, behold, we are servants in it:


Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand.


O LORD our God, other lords besides you have had dominion over us: but by you only will we make mention of your name.


O LORD, correct me, but with justice; not in your anger, lest you bring me to nothing.


Yea, though they have hired among the nations, now will I gather them, and they shall sorrow a little because of the burden of the king of princes.


Now these are the nations which the LORD left, to test Israel by them, even as many of Israel as had not known all the wars of Canaan;


Only that the generations of the children of Israel might know, to teach them war, at least those who before knew nothing thereof;
