And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.


And certain men who came down from Judea taught the brethren, and said, Except you be circumcised after the manner of Moses, you cannot be saved.


Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,


This only would I learn of you, Received you the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?


He therefore that ministers to you the Spirit, and works miracles among you, does he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?


Tell me, you that desire to be under the law, do you not hear the law?


He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting over questions and disputes of words, out of which comes envy, strife, railings, evil suspicions,


Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.


My brethren, be not many teachers, knowing that we shall receive the severer judgment.


But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;
