He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: therefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.


But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.


The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.


And he made his son pass through the fire, and practiced soothsaying, and used witchcraft, and dealt with mediums and wizards: he did much wickedness in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.


Against you, you only, have I sinned, and done this evil in your sight: that you might be justified when you speak, and be blameless when you judge.


For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their deeds are against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of his glory.


And this have you done again, covering the altar of the LORD with tears, with weeping, and with crying out, because he regards not the offering any more, or receives it with good will at your hand.


Woe unto the world because of offenses! for it must needs be that offenses come; but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!


And if any man said unto him, Let them not fail to burn the fat first, and then take as much as your soul desires; then he would answer him, Nay; but you shall give it to me now: and if not, I will take it by force.


For I have told him that I will judge his house forever for the iniquity which he knows; because his sons made themselves vile, and he restrained them not.
