6 And Saul said unto the Kenites, Go, depart, get you down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them: for you showed kindness to all the children of Israel, when they came up out of Egypt. So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites.

That be far from you to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from you: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?


And the families of the scribes who dwelt at Jabez; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Sucathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hammath, the father of the house of Rechab.


Hearken now unto my voice, I will give you counsel, and God shall be with you: Represent the people before God, that you may bring the causes unto God:


Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.


And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said, Lest the earth swallow us up also.


And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.


Therefore come out from among them, and be you separate, says the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,


The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; for he often refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chains:
