However I will not take the whole kingdom out of his hand: but I will make him ruler all the days of his life for David my servant’s sake, whom I chose, because he kept my commandments and my statutes:


Because David did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, and turned not aside from anything that he commanded him all the days of his life, except only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.


And Solomon loved the LORD, walking in the statutes of David his father: except that he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places.


And Solomon said, You have shown unto your servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before you in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with you; and you have kept for him this great kindness, that you have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.


Moreover I will establish his kingdom forever, if he is steadfast to keep my commandments and my judgments, as at this day.


And you, Solomon my son, know you the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts: if you seek him, he will be found of you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.


And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that David his father had done.


And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the ways of David his father, and turned aside neither to the right hand, nor to the left.


If your children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon your throne forevermore.


He asked life of you, and you gave it to him, even length of days forever and ever.


His glory is great in your salvation: honor and majesty have you laid upon him.


With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation.


Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honor.


For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to you.


Thus says the LORD of hosts; If you will walk in my ways, and if you will keep my charge, then you shall also judge my house, and shall also keep my courts, and I will give you places to walk among these that stand here.


And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after my own heart, who shall fulfill all my will.


But you shall have a perfect and just weight, a perfect and just measure shall you have: that your days may be lengthened in the land which the LORD your God gives you.


Honor your father and your mother, as the LORD your God has commanded you; that your days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with you, in the land which the LORD your God gives you.


You shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God has commanded you, that you may live, and that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which you shall possess.


For bodily exercise profits for a little while: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
