And set two men, sons of Belial, before him, to bear witness against him, saying, You did blaspheme God and the king. And then carry him out, and stone him, that he may die.


They proclaimed a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people.


And they conspired against him, and stoned him with stones at the commandment of the king in the court of the house of the LORD.


But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the male children alive.


And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he gave them families.


If a ruler hearkens to lies, all his servants are wicked.


Many seek the ruler's favor; but every man's judgment comes from the LORD.


And justice is turned back, and righteousness stands afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.


Ephraim is oppressed and broken in judgment, because he willingly walked after a human commandment.


You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: you shall not be partial to the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor.


For the statutes of Omri are kept, and all the works of the house of Ahab, and you walk in their counsels; that I should make you a desolation, and your inhabitants a hissing: therefore you shall bear the reproach of my people.


And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.

Now therefore, O king, come down according to all the desire of your soul to come down; and our part shall be to deliver him into the king's hand.
