But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.


And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baked on the coals, and a jar of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid himself down again.


The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing.


The angel of the LORD encamps round about them that fear him, and delivers them.


And he said, Behold, I will make you know what shall be in the latter end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be.


Yea, while I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, reached me about the time of the evening offering.


And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep,


And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he struck Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.


Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister to them who shall be heirs of salvation?


Let your conduct be without covetousness; and be content with such things as you have: for he has said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you.
