The Spirit of the LORD spoke by me, and his word was in my tongue.


And he has slain oxen and fatlings and sheep in abundance, and has called all the sons of the king, and Abiathar the priest, and Joab the captain of the army: but Solomon your servant has he not called.


Otherwise it shall come to pass, when my lord the king shall sleep with his fathers, that I and my son Solomon shall be counted offenders.


Take heed now; for the LORD has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do it.


Furthermore David the king said unto all the congregation, Solomon my son, whom alone God has chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great: for the palace is not for man, but for the LORD God.


O our God, will you not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that comes against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon you.


Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the LORD our God, until he has mercy upon us.


My eyes are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.


For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave its engraving, says the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
