2 Beloved, now are we the children of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

And though after my skin is thus destroyed, yet in my flesh shall I see God:


You will show me the path of life: in your presence is fullness of joy; at your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.


As for me, I will behold your face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with your likeness.


Oh how great is your goodness, which you have laid up for them that fear you; which you have wrought for them that trust in you before the sons of men!


Even unto them will I give in my house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.


But who may endure the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appears? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:


Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.


Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.


Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.


But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the children of God, even to them that believe on his name:


And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.


Father, I will that they also, whom you have given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which you have given me: for you loved me before the foundation of the world.


The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:


For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.


For the earnest expectation of the creation waits for the manifestation of the sons of God.


For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.


For now we see in a mirror dimly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.


And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.


But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love him.


But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.


For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;


For you are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.


And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.


Who shall change our humble body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working by which he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.


When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall you also appear with him in glory.


So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.


By which are given unto us exceedingly great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.


And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.


Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you have heard from the beginning.


Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the children of God: therefore the world knows us not, because it knew him not.


In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever does not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loves not his brother.


Beloved, if our heart condemns us not, then have we confidence toward God.


Whosoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and everyone that loves him that begat loves him also that is begotten of him.


And I will give him the morning star.


And they shall see his face; and his name shall be on their foreheads.
