The law of your mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver pieces.


More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.


So the people were scattered abroad throughout all the land of Egypt to gather stubble instead of straw.


How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!


Add not unto his words, lest he reprove you, and you be found a liar.


Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.


For bronze I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood bronze, and for stones iron: I will also make your officers peace, and your rulers righteousness.


The prophet that has a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that has my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? says the LORD.


Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.


Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them who cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which you have learned; and avoid them.


For no other foundation can a man lay than what is laid, which is Jesus Christ.


Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall test every man's work of what sort it is.


For we are not as many, who corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.


But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.


Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.


If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;


But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honor, and some to dishonor.


But evil men and seducers shall grow worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.


Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.


For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they draw to themselves teachers, having itching ears;


Be not carried about with various and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with foods, which have not profited them that have been observing them.


That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perishes, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:


But I have a few things against you, because you have there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to cast a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.


And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.


I counsel you to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that you may be rich; and white clothing, that you may be clothed, and that the shame of your nakedness does not appear; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.
