Happy is he that has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:


Why are you cast down, O my soul? and why are you disturbed within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

And he answering said, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.


But I have prayed for you, that your faith fail not: and when you have returned, strengthen your brethren.


Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.


Follow after love, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that you may prophesy.


Let all your things be done with love.


If any man's work abide which he has built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.


Now concerning things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love edifies.


But if any man loves God, the same is known by him.


For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that everyone may be recompensed for the things done in his body, according to what he has done, whether it be good or bad.


And that he died for all, that they who live should no longer live unto themselves, but unto him who died for them, and rose again.


For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision avails anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith which works by love.


And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;


To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:


For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;


And above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.


Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;


But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.


Now the end of the commandment is love out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:


For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.


Cast not away therefore your confidence, which has great recompense of reward.


But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.


And we desire that every one of you do show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:


Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters into that within the veil;


Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.


He that loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no occasion of stumbling in him.


I have written unto you, fathers, because you have known him who is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the wicked one.


Let that therefore abide in you, which you have heard from the beginning. If that which you have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, you also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.


And every man that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure.


Whosoever is born of God does not commit sin; for his nature remains in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
