Of Edom, and of Moab, and of the children of Ammon, and of the Philistines, and of Amalek, and of the spoil of Hadadezer, son of Rehob, king of Zobah.


And the poles of the ark extended out, so that the ends of the poles were seen from the ark in front of the inner sanctuary; but they were not seen outside. And there it is unto this day.


Therefore my fury and my anger was poured forth, and was kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are wasted and desolate, as at this day.


Therefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day.


So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.


And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, opposite Beth-peor: but no man knows of his grave unto this day.


And the man went into the land of the Hittites, and built a city, and called the name thereof Luz: which is its name until this day.


And when he had brought him down, behold, they were spread abroad upon all the earth, eating and drinking, and dancing, because of all the great spoil that they had taken out of the land of the Philistines, and out of the land of Judah.


And David struck them from the twilight even unto the evening of the next day: and there escaped not a man of them, except four hundred young men, who rode upon camels, and fled.
