Therefore sent I Timothens to you, who is my beloved child, and faithful in the Lord, who will remind you of all my ways in Christ, as I teach everywhere in all the churches.


Who makes war at any time at his own charges who plants a vineyard, and eats not of its fruit or who feeds a flock, and eats not of the milk of the flock?


And ye know his proof, that, as a child to a father, he served with me in the good news.


To Timothy, genuine child in the faith: Grace, mercy, peace, from God our Father, and Jesus Christ our Lord.


(And the end of the proclamation is love out of a pure heart, and a good consciousness, and unfeigned faith:


Neglect not the power which in thee, which was given thee by the gift of prophecy, with the putting on of hands of the council of elders.


For every created thing of God good, and nothing thrown away, received with thanks:


O Timothy, watch that which holds firm, turning aside from profane, idle talk, and oppositions of knowledge, bearing a false name:


To Timothy, dearly beloved child: Grace, mercy, peace, from God the Father and christ Jesus our Lord.


I have contended earnestly the good contest, I have completed the course, I have kept the faith:


To Titus, genuine child according to the common faith: Grace, mercy, peace, from God the Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour.


I beseech thee for my child whom I begat in my bonds, Onesimus.
